Installation of Arizona Gamma
The chapter was installed on April 21, 1990. The Initiation Ceremony took place at Federated Community Church. The next day, the installation brunch was held at the North Student Union Dining Hall on campus. Tables were decorated with light blue cloths, wine napkins and pastel wicker baskets filled with greenery.
Living at Arizona Gamma
The chapter residence is University-owned, but was created with fraternity and sorority
life in mind. The chapter occupies one floor of the residence hall with approximately 58 beds now, but there were as many as 62 at one point (plus some extras in another hall). There is a central chapter room where women can watch TV, gather for recruitment or study.
Because of the limited space, there isn’t much room for antiques. However, the chapter has its original silver platter that was gifted to it by Grand Council upon installation and an old bell that was previously used for recruitment.
Panhellenic Groups on Campus
Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Delta and Pi Beta Phi
Philanthropic Service
Arrowspike Volleyball Tournament and Wing Wars are the fall fundraising activities in the chapter, benefiting the Foundation. The chapter has also started a Literacy Fair at a local elementary school to educate parents on issues surrounding illiteracy as well as expose the children to different reading genres.
