The chapter began as a local group, the Battlecriers, and officially became a chapter of Pi Beta Phi on May 4, 1963. The Initiation Ceremony took place at the home of Texas Beta Catherine Couch Remmell. The installation banquet was held at the Riverdale Country Club with the theme “Angels in Disguise.” Decorations featured Barbie dolls dressed as angels, perched in swirling angel hair clouds atop white pedestals.
The chapter’s charter was relinquished in 2008.
