Installation of California Kappa

The chapter was installed on April 25, 1987. Following the Initiation Ceremony, new initiates assembled in Del Mar, California, for a dinner prepared by members of the Del Sol North and North County San Diego Alumnae Clubs. The new Pi Phis sang songs and practiced skits for the upcoming Greek Week talent show. The next day, an installation brunch was held at the La Jolla Country Club. Tables were decorated in a sea of wine and silver blue, and the focal point of the buffet table was a large arrow ice carving.

Living at California Kappa

California Kappa does not have a facility on campus, but instead has a storage unit close to campus provided by the local Chapter Housing Corporation (CHC). California Kappa does have meetings on campus every Monday night and holds recruitment at the Student Center on campus during the fall. Most members start off by living in campus dorms during their first year, then often move to off-campus apartments with other Pi Phis to further strengthen their sisterhood bonds!
