Installation at Ohio Eta
The chapter was installed on September 18, 1954. The Initiation Ceremony took place at the College Town House, a large Victorian home used for meetings. The installation banquet took place in the main dining room of the Granville Inn. The stone-walled dining hall was lit with wine and blue tapers and each place was set with programs with a steel engraving of Denison’s beloved Swasey Chapel, printed in wine-colored ink on blue paper.
Living at Ohio Eta
The Ohio Eta chapter house is special because it is a place where members choose to come together to celebrate sisterhood. The house is non-residential, so members do not live there. All of the time spent there is geared towards chapter business, philanthropic activities and sisterhood.
The living and dining rooms have been recently renovated and are stunning. The chapter has an antique angel doll in the bookcase, as well as a number of old award trophies from alumnae.
