Installation at Oklahoma Beta
A local group, Beta Phi, was formed in 1915. The group officially became a chapter of Pi Beta Phi on August 12, 1919. The Installation Ceremony took place in the College Dormitory for Girls. The chapter was installed by Grand President Amy Burnham Onken, Illinois Epsilon. The installation banquet took place in the Reception Hall in the Dormitory for Girls after the installation. There the chapter members ate, toasts were made and greetings from friends and alumnae were read. The charter members were so happy that they did not want to leave, so when time ran out they continued to sing Pi Phi songs on the steps of the dorm.
