Installation at Pennsylvania Delta
A local group, the Dianthian Fraternity, was formed in 1916. A petition was presented at the 1918 Charlevoix Convention and was approved. The group officially became a chapter of Pi Beta Phi on September 19, 1918. The chapter was established through the influence of the Pittsburgh Alumnae Club. The Initiation Ceremony took place in the home of Wisconsin Alpha Jessica Davis Murphy, followed by a banquet at a local hotel. The banquet featured many toasts and Pi Phi songs.
The chapter’s charter was relinquished in 1931.
