The Installation and Initiation Ceremonies took place at the Farragut Hotel. The chapter was originally a colony chapter named Pi Phi Gamma, which was founded in the Fall of 1947. There was an installation banquet at the Farragut Hotel at 7:00 p.m. The banquet theme was “Pi Beta Phi Symphony” and guests wore gardenia corsages. At the banquet, awards were given to the best New Member and the New Member with the highest scholastic average. Grand President Marianne Reid Wild, Kansas Alpha installed the chapter.
