Installation at Virginia Alpha
When the Virginia Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi was installed on May 10, 1913, it had an interesting history. It had been installed as the Iota Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha on May 23, 1908. Alpha Sigma Alpha released it from its commitment and offered it the option to affiliate with another organization. Installation activities took place in the chapter house.
Due to a college ruling against fraternities, the chapter’s charter was relinquished in 1960.
